You'll never see the forest by studying the trees.

"When people with set beliefs converse with others, they try to justify their identities by espousing and defending their opinions. Their judgments seldom change as a result of any new information they encounter, and they show little interest in allowing any real conversation interaction to take place. A person who is open to the flowing nature of consciousness is more willing to see the relationships imposed by such vortices of thought. They are committed to exploring conversational interactions, rather than endlessly repeating a static litany of opinions."

EyeFract EyeFract is a Julia and Mandelbrot set (fractal) generator. It provides detailed control over many aspects of generating these sets, including the ability to create fractals beyond the quadratic family. A list of functions is provided (including trigonometrics). EyeFract has JPEG / PPM export capability, and includes presets for fractals and colormaps. The colormap format is compatible with FractInt.

A Parable

Buddha told a parable in a sutra:
A man traveling across a field encountered a tiger. He fled, the tiger after him. Coming to a precipice, he caught hold of the root of a wild vine and swung himself down over the edge. The tiger sniffed at him from above. Trembling, the man looked down to where, far below, another tiger was waiting to eat him. Only the vine sustained him.
Two mice, one white and one black, little by little started to gnaw away the vine. The man saw a luscious strawberry near him. Grasping the vine with one hand, he plucked the stawberry with the other. How sweet it tasted!
