The Prophets

The words of these four bring me to tears every time. The emotion I see in all of them is perfectly consistent, every time.
It is unbearable compassion. While they each saw the truth so clearly and took such pains to explain it to us in such
great detail, we as a people could just never get up to speed. So we accepted from them their most basic of ideas,
fawned over them as priceless gems of wisdom and proceeded to let them stagnate, unused.

God, the heartbreak of knowing how wrongly we are all acting... the love they felt for us must have been so great that they
would keep telling us what we so badly needed to hear even when it wasn't evident that we were listening at all.
These four men were thousands of years ahead of us. It will take us a long time to learn their lessons.
