Problems:
The video card died once, leaving video noise all over the screen.
Dell tech support took care of it in 3 days after 2 knowledgable
technicians walked me through the disassembly process to assess
whether the problem was in the cable connection.
Dell tech support (outsourced to India i believe) is excellent.

The wireless cards i have employed have been a problem:
Linksys and D-Link cards work in Windows, but not in Linux -
especially not G standard cards.
The D-Link card that i found works under Linux does NOT work under
Windows - in fact it crashes Windows hard.
So i have to switch them between boots - annoying.

The hard drive sometimes makes a harsher scratching sound than
normal sound in Linux - but it goes away after a while?
